School work 3

As you see, this is an assignment to design a set of coaster for halloween. This one is not a good one as my teacher consist to have something simple and representative. But mine is actually quite complicated and u know what, it's a story! Yea, a vampire story. It goes like this, bats come in the middle of the night, kill a women, it become a little vampire girl after sucking blood and leave the house happily and satisfactorily. It's a naive girl at the end because i think it is the most horrible thing is the turning bad of something childish. ha. The score of the work may not be high, but i love it so muhc:D

School work 2

This assignment is meant to design our name with the combination of different font and show the feeling of contrast and harmony.  

For the contrast one, my name ella is actually come from the last four letter of pretty fairy tale princess cinderella. She is such a elegant and gentle person, however, I am not. I don't wait for my prince charming from difficulties. To show this, I used elegant font which are the curve lines and dots for the E and A, which is set aside and faded out by the white line. The 2 L combine to form a stair, which means that i go step by step for my future with my effort, and the font are strong and straight, this should show contrast with the softness of E and A :D

Harmony show that I'm a person who love nature, it can be seen by the tree and the nest of E. The fonts are quite irregular because i'm not the kind of person who follow rules and I think differently and not go with the flow. And the E being revert horizontally and the A being cut like half also represent my weirdness, haha.

School Work 1

It 's an assignment askin us ti use the word "outside" and "inside" to show the relationship of 2. :D

The teacher told me that the second and the forth one are actually not so good because the skill she wanted us to learn is typography, and these 2 are too unclear to read... Yes, i agree with that, but i still found it interesting to present in this way~

past, present and future

I have made some artworks for the interview of Design Degree for university.

And it gave me a theme which is tell them who I am. Then, i have made 3 works, which represent my past, my present and my future.

For the past, i have made a small clip concerning the tears I cried through out my childhood until now. We cry when we are so sad or in pain, however, when we are being touched or too excited, tears would also coming out of our eyes. Tear means pain, but also hope. That's why I use it as the theme of this animation which tell my past which is full of difficulties and joy. This is the first time I try to make video clip n it's such a fun! It's not so well done though, i believe i can do better next time if i have a chance or something motivate me again:DD

For the present, I have made a sculpture called The Unready Peacock. I am like a peacock that is unready to unfold her tails to show other who she is. There are some features of the peacock that symbolized me:


No mouth – unskilled in talking
Crown – I believe in fairy tale and princess
Mahjong body – risky life= chances+ yourself
first-aid band – I have overcome the obstacles
Eyes on tail – everyone one is watching me( people who care me and enemies -> help me to be stronger)
Neck – giraffe --> i want to see more and explore more about the world
5 Feather – elements that shaped me to who I am, they are Japanese animation, music, book, day dreaming and blank( which represent my potential n there is room for me to improve)

For the future, 

Future is mysterious.And we just can’t plan all the way out.

So, instead of planning everything and be nervous about future.

I would better ensure what I need to bring along the journey, and prepare myself well for it.

And for my future, what I would bear in mind are these things...

Rainbow - hope

Teddy bear n lollipop - being simple and happy like a child

Live your dream like a child

Adult always forget how to chase their dream after stepping into the society. they just obsesse with money, house, cars, stocks, LV, iPhone, Tiffany... I hope that my friend would not forget who she is and make her dream come with passion and fearless like a child while she is growing up. This is what i want to bring up through this birthday card. :D

Robot

This is drawn for a campaign originally, but it has been banned because this may make others think that our school is here to mode student like a robot... ( do you think that's true?)
